Op/EdAccountability equals Responsibility over Authority.

Americans must begin to realize that the great con of corporatist government is to seize as much authority and assets from the taxpayer as possible while at the same time assigning all responsibility and liability unto them. The other phase is to have the "Accountability" of authority and responsibility, either limited in it's function or under the control of someone incompetent. This incompetent person can serve as a scapegoat at a later date if and when public outcry becomes intense. However the incompetence could also be sprinkled across the nation and hiding inside our own inertia. We allow this by allowing our emotions to exceed our intellect. This is a preview into privatization. For a quick example of what I am trying to present let's look at our borders where all that is significant is constantly revealed. The federal government has taken the role of Authority via homeland security and ICE. The States have succumbed to the Responsibility of the situation. The Asset of exploitation of workers without rights goes to the Corporatists that obtained Authority over our government. Meanwhile the Responsibility and Liability of this situation are paid for by the states and taxpayers . States are also told they have no authority or jurisdiction over this matter. The feds have the Authority but won't fulfill the Responsibility. The states that try to protect the taxpayer from " theft of services" are honest but met with federal opposition by the Supreme Corporate Justices or by unelected groups that threaten to bankrupt municipalities. The states that roll over and claim they have no Authority over 'theft of services" are part of the assault on the middle class. Because of lobbying the corporate budget is far greater as is their influence. The taxpayer and his local government are under funded and understaffed by comparison. Defeated by its own tax structure. As much as it gets confusing it is simple. Thru our tax structure and laws Authority is in the hands of the corporatists and Responsibility is in the hands of the taxpayer. No one is accountable for the balancing of this equation. All government assets are in the hands of the corporatist, and all government liability are in the hands of the taxpayer. This will become more apparent and more appalling as we see the expansion of Privatization. We are not only exempting corporatists from taxation but we issue them grants and the power of law to make this possible. I for one believe that Authority being equal to Responsibility is the way to a better Nation. For this we can all be held accountable.
