60 votes. A perfect 3/5 majority for warrant less surveillance. Those running for President opposed the bill. They need to appear to be with the will of the people. Of the seventeen Democrats that crossed over to insure passage of the Corporatists Lobby Bill almost all of them are insulated from the voters having been newly elected. Newly elected to vote against it! Of the 12 that didn't vote its a mixed bag of candidate spokesmen and party affluent. Equal amount of each party. Now I'm sure there are a few who risked their political careers selling out however this secures them a better position in the corporate sector as a lobbyist or CEO. They in turn can help a Corporate individual become a candidate. The reason I am emphasizing the cozy relationship is for several reasons.

     They now have everything they need. The ability to know anything they want, to do anything they want. King George and Alberto Gonzales can make probable cause out of anything. The CIA and the CEO working together. Now if you look at the telecommunications as well as the banking  Industry and its unbelievable scandals with corruption as a business and abuse of privacy as a service provider you would think this could never happen. The present administration always says if you don't have anything to hide why worry. This administration won't enforce our laws, won't abide by the law, and abuses the law. People that enforce the laws that they won't, get put in jail. Look at  our border patrol agents. Put in jail at the request of a foreign government for shooting a drug smuggler .
