 Levy does have Union Support

I am writing in reference to the "Today on the Blog" [Aug. 20], where Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy was criticized for his position on undocumented workers. It should be known that the union criticizing him is in the vast minority - most unions support the county executive's legislation, which cracks down on unscrupulous employers that hire undocumented workers, and also support moves to discourage illegal immigration. Iron Workers Local 361, along with nine other unions, stood alongside the county executive in support of his legislation and testified before the Suffolk County Legislature.

The vast majority of labor unions have been undermined by these unscrupulous employers and the ongoing problem with undocumented workers.
